Lepaa Winery is a pleasant day trip destination, about an hour’s drive from Helsinki and Tampere. In addition to the winery’s own products, the wine and garden shop’s product selection favors local producers and their products.
The present winery is built in about 1910. Till 1994 it worked as a sheep, horse and cowshed. The winery was opened in 1996. The total capacity of Lepaa winery production is 35 000 litres. The amount of the yearly production is about 15 000- 17 000 litres. Lepaa is visited by 40 000 people/ year. During summer months the sales is at its best and the season comes to head in August as the yearly horticultural trade fair is held.
At the winery you can find the production line, the wine shop (ciders, fruit and berry wines, and sparkling berry wines), cafeteria and the garden shop. Also wine production education is offered here.
Many of the wines and beverages are named after the history and stories at Lepaa.
